The CIMB Asia Pacific Classic is an annual off-season golf tournament contested by the year's winners of the four major championships of regular men's golf, which are the Masters Tournament, the U.S. Open, The Open Championship (British Open), and the PGA Championship. It is one of several invitational events for leading male golfers which are held each year after the PGA Tour and the European Tour seasons have concluded.

The course The MINES Resort & Golf Club, was the creation of golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones. Design had to be changed several times initially due to land agreements, however this rerouting lead to the creation of the world famous, and much photographed, spectacular 16th hole - the tee and green of which perch precariously on cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Bo Van Pelt shot a final round 7-under-par 64 today to win the CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia title at The Mines Resort & Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur by six strokes. Van Pelt coasted to victory with a 23-under-par 261 total that also earned him the winner’s cheque of US$1.3 million.
