The Frys.com Open is part of the PGA TOUR’s Fall Series that will be played Oct. 6-9, 2012 at CordeValle in San Martin, Calif. It features a full-field (132 players), 4-day tournament with a $5 million purse and $900,000 payout to the winner.

First staged in 2007 as the Fry's Electronics Open at Grayhawk Golf Club's Raptor Course in Scottsdale, Arizona, it adopted its current name in 2008, and moved to CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, California effective in 2012. Since its inception, the purse has been US$5 million.

2011 Frys.com Open Winner

Bryce Molder wins 2011 Frys.com Open with a six-hole playoff at CordeValle Golf Club — the longest on the PGA Tour this season. Molder won for the first time in 132 starts when he rolled in a 6-foot putt for birdie to defeat Briny Baird, who was trying to win his first Tour event in 348 starts.

2010 Frys.com Open Winner

Rocco Mediate fired a seven under 64 in the first round, sparked by a six under front nine that included an ace on the Par 3 third hole. Rocco followed up his good play in the first round, with a 65 and 67 in the second and third rounds respectively, giving him the 54-hole lead. On 18 green, Rocco had a 5 footer for par, Van Pelt a 30 footer for birdie and Prugh a 15 footer for birdie. After Van Pelt and Prugh nailed their putts to apply pressure to Mediate, Rocco faced one putt to win, which he would make.

2009 Frys.com Open Winner

In 2009, Troy Matteson set a PGA Tour 36-hole record by shooting 61-61=122 in the second and third rounds. He won a three-man playoff over Rickie Fowler and Jamie Lovemark to win the tournament.
