occasions, Royal Birkdale has been voted the No 1 course in
Britain, and is among the best in the world.
The stunning coastal resort of Southport is host to some of
the finest links courses in England. This is the home of
Royal Birkdale, for many golfers, quite simply, the best of
all the great golf courses to have staged The Open
Championship.

Links course of Championship standard where length,
judgement and skill are required. The course relies
heavily on the natural terrain with it's many
contours, abundance of scrub and dunes. Although
difficult, the course is a pure test of golf as it
does not contain any nasty tricks. It can be enjoyed
by golfers of all handicaps.

the same brand of ball and if you can't identify your ball, it's
lost.
(3) Count your clubs. You are allowed a maximum of 14 clubs.
During the round, don't ask for "advice" from
anyone except your partner or caddie. Don't give advice to anyone
except your partner.
During a hole you may not play a
practice stroke.
